I used to work at a sexual assault centre at a University. I can remember the faces of every single woman who told me they were assaulted by a partner and how their trauma was so much more complicated because it was mixed up in grief and love. And how the most interesting thing about working with the clients was never their trauma but almost everything else about them.
Most SA cases are committed by someone the survivor knows and somehow that's still not talked about enough. Sorry, I'm rambling, I think I just meant to say thank you on my clients' behalf.
